In WeezCrew, using a mailing list allows you to restrict access to a form to a targeted group within your community that has already been identified in the platform.
This is the ideal feature for managing priority registration phases—for example, granting a one-month exclusive period to returning volunteers before opening the form to the general public.
Use Case: Priority Registration Even if your form link is shared or forwarded, anyone who is not part of the selected mailing list will be automatically blocked and unable to register.
Step 1: Verify Your Population in the Members Module
Before setting up the form, make sure your target group has been properly built in the Members module.
You can rely on an existing dynamic view (e.g., a view grouping all volunteers from previous editions).
Step 2: Access the Form's Release Settings
Go to Communication > Forms.
Select the relevant form and open its Settings.
Click the Release tab on the left side.
Step 3: Select the List and Customize the Rejection Message
Enable the mailing list option.
In the drop-down menu, select the desired dynamic view (you can choose from your event's or organization's dynamic views).
Write the informational message that will display to unauthorized users (e.g., "Sorry, you do not have access to this form. Registration will open soon.").
Save your changes.
Only the members that are already in your community will have access to the form when registering (they will need to register with the same email address registered in your community). The members not in your community will receive the unauthorized message.
How User Verification Works
Access Granted: If their account is included in the specified dynamic view, the form opens, allowing the user to complete their submission.
6-Digit Code Verification: When accessing the form, users enter their email address and receive a 6-digit security code to verify their identity.
Access Blocked: If the user is not listed in the mailing list, access is immediately locked and the restriction message is displayed.
