Duplicating an event in WeezCrew allows you to set up a new edition in just a few clicks without starting from scratch. You keep all your settings, registration forms, and mission structures, while the platform automatically adjusts the dates for the new edition.
💡 Our Tip: Copy Delegations to the Community
If you use the Teams module, it is strongly recommended to copy your teams to your organization's central level before duplicating your event:
Open the current event, then go to Populations > Teams.
Select all your delegations.
Click the options menu (three dots) and select Copy to Community.
Why perform this step?
This ensures that all teams/delegations and their associated members are saved at the global community level, making them easy to reuse for the next edition.
Step 1: Access Event Duplication
From your WeezCrew dashboard, go to the All Events list.
Locate the event you want to renew.
Click the three dots next to the event name, then select Duplicate.
Step 2: Configure Settings for the New Edition
The duplication wizard will open:
Rename the Event: Enter the name for the new edition (e.g., Festival - 2027 Edition).
Set New Dates: Enter the start and end dates for your new event.
Step 3: Select Elements to Keep or Reset
WeezCrew allows you to choose exactly what you want to copy over:
Elements to keep (typically): Your missions, registration forms, and email campaign templates.
Elements to exclude (if starting fresh): Uncheck sent campaigns, custom views, teams, accreditations, or automations if needed.
Step 4: Run the Duplication Wizard
Click the confirmation button to start the duplication process.
Once processing is complete, your new event is ready.
Automatic Schedule Adjustment: The dates and time slots for all your missions are automatically recalculated based on the new event dates you set.
